  • Purpose:
    • This WebQuest is designed for Grade 5 with the intention to use the novel The Lemonade War by Jacqueline Davies to dive into the mathematical processes associated with running a lemonade stand. We believe that after reading The Lemonade War, children will be interested in learning how to operate and advertise for their own lemonade stands. Students will learn about important money concepts such as operating costs, profit margin, and loss. The mathematics associated with these money concepts are addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, percentages, and decimals.
    • Students will use what they have learned from The Lemonade Wars to create their own lemonade stand business plan and an advertisement for their stands.
